Slideshow Preset Config? 12 Years, 4 Months ago
Hello all,

In my site, Lizards 'R' Us (lizardsrus.biz), I am trying to set up a preset slideshow. (click the "Images" tab at the top, I am using gallery-horizontal-strip config)

As I have not used HighSlide before, the gallery works, but both images are showing up. I read the tutorial that stated to type "hidden-container" in the pictures I do not want visible, but the second picture (the anole lizard) is still visible. Is there a reason for this?

I am not sure how to add any other images if I cannot hide them into one single expander. (the first image)

Please respond soon,
Carl W.

Hi Carl,

The 'hidden-container' specification needs to be set in the 'class' field for the thumbnail image. It appears that you have placed it in the 'Id' field.

I also noticed that you have specified captions for the images, however, they are not showing up. This is because the gallery preset requires that you put the caption text in the 'Title' field for the popup image (on the expander tab).

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply,

You were right about the class!

Unfortunately, if I place the caption text in the Title, it shows up as white text. (I can't see it on the white background.) It still appears to work if I place it as a Caption because I can use HTML to change the color of the text to black.

Is there a way to change the text color of the title then?

Carl

Hi Carl,

In the highslide configuration for that article you could specify the following in the CSS section:

.highslide-caption {
color: black;
}

Hi Ken,

Until now, I unfortunately don't understand what is meant by the statement "for that article." There is a "Site Configuration," but that's it.

Please clarify?

Carl,

The 'site configuration' is the default configuration that is used if you haven't created a configuation specifically for an article. You can create a highslide configuration that is loaded only when a specific article is displayed. This can be done by creating a new configuration in the highslide configuration component (pressing the New button) or you can copy an existing configuration and assign it to an article.

Hope that helps.
