Fatal error: Class 'JFILE' not found 12 Years, 11 Months ago
Hi

I have a big problem. Everytime I activate the Highslide Plugin I got the following error on my frontend (backend is working fine):

Fatal error: Class 'JFILE' not found in H:\xampplite\htdocs\testsite\plugins\content\Highslide.php on line 90

If I deactivate the plugin my frontend is loading fine.

I use Joomla 1.5.7, JCE 1.5.0 Stable, JCE Plugin 1.5.1, Highslide JS Configuration Component 1.0.3, Highslide Plugin 1.0.5, JCE HsExpander Plugin 1.0.4 and JCE HsHtmlExpander Plugin 1.0.4. All installed as per description.

I de- and reinstall all but nothing solves my problem. Please help!!!

Hi,

That is really odd. Can you check to see if the following file exists on your system:

h:\xampplite\htdocs\testsite\libraries\joomla\filesystem\file.php

Hi

Yes the file is right there...

MamaDoc

This was a usefull tip! It's case sensitive!!!! I change line 90 in your script from "JFILE" to "JFile" and now it's working!!

So, many THX

BTW this is a great plugin

Hi,

That is really strange. The loader is supposed to shift everything to lowercase before it looks for the file, so JFile and JFILE should both become jfile when it tries to find the class.

The JFILE statement works on my system.

I'm a little confused about this. What type of system are you running on?

Well, I'm glad you were able to get past the problem but I'm not totally satisfied with the resolution. I'll make a note to take a closer look at this later and see if I can figure out how it could be failing on one system and not the majority of others that are using the plugin.

Thanks for the problem report.
